What we believe...
We believe there is one God who lives forever in three Persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 2:18)
We believe that within their eternal community of perfect self-giving family love, the dream for humanity was born before the foundation of the world. (1 John 4:16; Genesis 1:26; Ephesians 1:3-6)
We believe in the creation story of Genesis, where God spoke all things into existence for the sake of His absolute delight. His crowning achievement was fathering the human race by bestowing His own image into and onto humanity, so they would be a reflection of His being and live in oneness with Him as His beloved children. (Genesis 1-2; Luke 3:38; Isaiah 64:8; Colossians 1:15-16; Revelation 4:11)
We believe in the intrinsic value and dignity of every human life as being God’s image bearers and His offspring. (Genesis 1:27; Acts 17:28; James 3:9)
We believe the fall of the human race happened because humanity's first couple (Adam and Eve) were deceived into believing the lie of separation. That in order for them to be really like God, they needed to separate themselves from God, and become independent. (Genesis 3)
We believe when they chose to go their own way, their true identity as God’s son and daughter became distorted. When the eyes of their human reason were opened by choosing separation with God over union with Him, the eyes of their spiritual hearts became closed and they were blinded to the truth. (Genesis 3:6-7; 2 Corinthians 4:4)
We believe this distortion brought further deception about themselves, each other and ultimately God Himself. They no longer knew who they were and whom they belonged to. In their self-imposed isolation and lost state, they felt the effects of sin for the first time. Since Adam and Eve were created to live forever, it was an act of God's mercy that caused death to enter the world, to prevent them from living forever in this fallen state. (Genesis 3:22-24; Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23; Ecclesiastes 3:11)
We believe the human race has struggled with this lostness ever since. We have all walked out of step with God's plan and purpose for our lives. And as such, we have been deceived, with a heart blockage that has caused us to believe that we were disconnected from God. (Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Romans 8:7)
While sin created a barrier and caused us to feel separated from God, God has never separated Himself from us. We believe that He has never stopped chasing us down, pursuing us and finding us in our deception. We believe that He is relentless in calling us back to our true identity as His beloved children. (Colossians 1:21; Jeremiah 3:19-20; Acts 17:24-28; Galatians 4:6-7; Romans 8:35-39)
We believe that God’s plan from before the creation of the cosmos, was to come into our world of deception, lies and hatred, put on our humanity and identify with our brokenness. He did this in the person of Jesus Christ, the very Son of God. (Hebrews 1:1-3; John 3:16-17; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 2:14-18)
We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth as fully God and fully man, to reveal the heart of the Father towards His wayward offspring and to redeem us back to our original purpose. Jesus came in mercy and grace as the great physician to heal us from the disease of sin and death. (John 14:6-11; John 10:10; Hebrews 2:10-11)
We believe the Son of God, Jesus, was born of a virgin, led a life of perfect union with His Father, performed mighty miracles of deliverance, and came to set us free. We believe in His sinless life, His death on a cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:14-18)
We believe that Jesus Christ took upon Himself all the sin that plagued humanity like a disease, and willingly laid His own life down upon a cross. He did this in the power of the Holy Spirit and in submission to the Father’s will and it was for the sin of the entire world that He died. (John 19:28-30; Matthew 27:50-52; 1 John 2:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 10:11-18)
We believe Jesus rose from the dead through the mighty work of the Father, conquering the effects of sin and death for the entire human race. The power of sin and death died with Jesus on the cross and eternal life came through His resurrection. (Romans 5:17-18; Romans 6:1-11; 1 Timothy 4:10)
We believe that God the Father was in Christ, reconciling the entire world to Himself, not counting people's sins against them. And as believers, we are called to this same message of reconciliation to every person on this planet. For though God reconciled Himself to us, we still need to be reconciled to God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20)
We believe that when Jesus rose from the dead, He signalled the dawning of a new day, where all those who would simply dare to believe, would experience a supernatural rebirth. In this transformation, we are born of God Himself by the Holy Spirit's power, and are completely restored to the Father's intended purpose for our lives as His beloved children. (John 17:20; John 3:1-6; Romans 8:15-17)
We believe we all need this spiritual awakening, so the eyes of our spiritual heart that were closed when Adam and Eve fell, could be re-opened again. (Romans 13:11; Ephesians 1:17-18)
We believe Jesus Christ has ascended to heaven and is sitting as God and man, at the Father’s right hand. He is ruling and reigning over the earth through His Spirit and His church. His Kingdom was established at His ascension and will continue to spread over the entire earth until His final return. (Mark 16:19; Luke 22:29)
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ as Lord and King over the cosmos. Heaven will come down to earth and we will live forever in unhindered union with God. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 21)
We believe at the end of all things, Jesus will hand over the kingdom to His Father so that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:24, 28)
We believe in the mandate of the Church, to be ministers of reconciliation to the whole world, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, making disciples and baptizing them, teaching them to change their way of thinking in submission to the Lordship of Christ. (Matthew 28:16-20)
We believe that Jesus invites us into His abundant, eternal life through the supernatural revelation of our true identity as sons and daughters of Father God. As we enter His life, the deception, shame, loneliness, and all brokenness are dismantled. We are transformed by the truth of who God says we are. We become whole. In Christ Jesus, we belong in God’s family, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are home and that nothing in all creation can ever separate us from God's love. (John 10:10; 1 John 3:1; John 14:1-3; Romans 8:35-39)
We believe the gift of salvation has been freely offered to all, but it needs to be believed and received with childlike faith in order to be experienced. (John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:8-10, Luke 18:15-17)
We believe the kingdom of God is hidden in plain sight with the birth of every newborn baby on planet earth, because little children are not yet connected with the human reason and independence that reinforces the lie of separation. As a result, their beautiful innocence, their intuitive dependence and their wholehearted need for love, display God's kingdom and all its glory like nothing else ever could. (Matthew 18:1-5; Luke 18:15-17; Matthew 11:25-26; Matthew 21:16)
We believe it is God's eternal desire for everyone to experience salvation in Christ because of His great love for the world and His heart that not even one would perish. (John 3:16-17; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:3-6)
We believe the promise of eternal life is for everyone who believes and has an intimate relationship with both Father and Son, for there is no life outside of our union with God in Christ. (John 17:3; John 3:16-17; 1 John 5:11-12)
We believe the Bible to be divinely inspired, revealing by the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, who is Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 1:1-14; John 5:39-40)
We believe the transforming truth of who we are as God’s children will cause us to love one another as we are loved. This revelation of the Father love of God will bring us out of our orphan mindset and into the unity of God's eternal family. (John 17:20-23)
We believe there is one God, the Father by whom all things were created and for whom we live. And we believe there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created and through whom we live.
