1 Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. NLT
The concept of being 'at home' is familiar with every heart, for that is what we were all created for. Jesus tells a story in Luke 15:11-32 of a son who left his family in the Prodigal Son Parable, whose life was out of order until he found his way home back to his father's love and the over the top celebration that followed his return.
In the same way, Jesus talks about the home we were all created to experience in John 14:1-3. And this home is found in the center of His Father's heart. An eternal place of safety, security and belonging that Jesus has prepared for you and me. If we would just dare to believe this is true, Jesus will lead us by the hand (John 14:6) to the home we have been looking for all our lives and into the embrace of a Father who has always loved us (Jeremiah 31:3).
