Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. NLT
When King David wrote these words found in Psalm 27, he did it with the assurance that even if his own earthly parents abandoned him, the Lord would hold him close. Other Bible translations say even if his parents forsook or rejected him, God promised to take him in and receive him.
So today, be encouraged knowing that your origin goes infinitely farther back than the intent of your parents. For you have always had a loving Father who knew you before you were conceived (Jeremiah 1:5) and He will never ever leave you or forsake you.
Simply because He has always had a Father's heart towards you. And today, He wants you to know that more now than ever so you can run into His welcoming arms!
