The Spirit Never Leaves Us Where We Are Slowness does not mean stagnation. Gentleness does not mean passivity. The Spirit is always working, constantly forming Christ within us, always drawing us deeper into the Father’s love. He never gives up. He never gets tired. He never loses hope. He never abandons His work. As Paul writes in Philippians 1:6: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” The Spirit finishes what He starts.
