Gratitude is the Overflow of a Heart That Knows it is Loved
Children don't thank you just to be polite—they thank you because joy overflows. They receive gifts with open hands, open hearts, and open eyes.
Adults, however, often struggle with gratitude because we wrestle with: – busyness – self-reliance – entitlement – familiarity – emotional fatigue – fear – scarcity thinking.
When the heart is weary, gratitude diminishes. When the heart is guarded, gratitude dulls. When the heart is overwhelmed, gratitude feels far away.
But when love begins to heal the heart, gratitude rises naturally—like spring water from a deep source.
Gratitude is the fruit of being cared for.
