We Are Often Shaped More by Wounds Than by Wins
Most of us can identify moments that have shaped us: words that hurt us, times of rejection, pressures we couldn’t handle, unmet childhood needs, failures we still revisit, losses that left scars, disappointments that shut our hearts, shame that silenced us, trauma that overwhelmed us, expectations that crushed us, and love we longed for but never received.
These wounds don’t just remain in the past. They affect our view of the world today: how we trust or fear, how we connect or withdraw, how we respond to conflict, how we handle criticism, how we interpret love, and how we see God.
The Father does not shame us for our wounds.
He heals us by meeting us in them.
