Hope is a Child’s Native Language
Children naturally expect that the story is heading toward something positive. They believe their parent has good intentions. They trust that surprises will be positive, not frightening. They look ahead with wide-open eyes, not with suspicion.
Hope isn’t just emotional hype. It isn’t wishful thinking. Hope is the soul’s instinctive direction toward goodness.
Childlike hope is the ability to believe—that something beautiful is possible, that things can change, that the Father is still writing the story, that the future is not determined by the past, that restoration is stronger than brokenness, and that love has the final word.
Hope is the heart leaning into the Father’s character.
