Jesus Was the Freest Person Who Ever Lived
Jesus moved through the world unburdened by the fear of man. He was not reckless, nor was he rebellious just to rebel. He was simply free.
Free from: – the need to impress – the need to be understood – the need to be defended – the need for public approval – the need to meet religious expectations – the need to fulfill human agendas.
He was free to: – speak truth gently; – love generously; – bless children joyfully; – heal without seeking applause; – eat with the rejected; – touch the unclean; – confront hypocrisy; – rest in storms; – remain silent when accused.
Jesus’ freedom was grounded in one truth: He knew He was the beloved Son of the Father.
Childlikeness blooms where identity is secure.
