Hope is one of the most powerful forces in the Christian life.
It is the anchor that keeps us steady when everything else falls away. It is the light that shines in the darkest valleys. It is the quiet confidence that the story is not over, and that the ending belongs to God.
But Christian hope isn't just optimism. It isn't wishful thinking.
It doesn't mean denying pain or difficulty or pretending everything is fine when it isn't. Christian hope is rooted in the three Persons of the Trinity — in the Father who loves us, in the Son who came for us, and in the Spirit who dwells within us.
Hope is rooted in the truth that love, not fear, holds the final word because God, by His very nature, is love (1 John 4:8).
