Letting the Father Teach You How to Rest
Jesus’ invitation is simple and profound: “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Many believers know these words well, but few feel they genuinely live in the rest Jesus describes. Weariness lingers. Pressure persists. The soul keeps striving long after the body grows tired.
Often, the exhaustion we carry is invisible. It comes from trying to be strong, trying to hold everything together, trying to meet expectations, and trying not to fall behind.
We carry responsibilities, fears, and unspoken burdens that slowly weigh down the heart.
But rest is not laziness.
Rest is not withdrawal.
Rest is not weakness.
Rest is surrender.
