New birth is the moment the life of God enters the human heart.
It's more than just a decision or a prayer. It is the miracle of the Spirit bringing us to new life in Christ. When Jesus spoke of being “born of water and Spirit,” He wasn’t dividing people into categories. Instead, He was describing a spiritual reality that no human effort can produce.
The Father gives new life through the Holy Spirit.
New birth is not about behavior change. It is not about moral improvement. It is not a religious reform. It is spiritual resurrection. As Paul writes in Ephesians 2:1-8, “When we were dead… God made us alive with Christ.”
Dead people don’t change themselves. They don’t adopt better habits. They don’t try harder. They are born again. New birth is the Father breathing His life into us through the Spirit, opening our hearts, awakening our faith, and restoring our ability to receive love.
