Learning to Receive Help From the Father
Many people find it much easier to offer help than to accept it. You might feel responsible for staying strong, solving your own problems, and carrying your weight without burdening anyone else. Over time, self-reliance can quietly develop into a way of life — even in your relationship with God.
But the kingdom of God is not built on independence. It is built on dependence. Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” These words were not spoken as a rebuke, but as an invitation.
You were created to live with the Father, not merely for Him. To lean on Him, not stand alone. To receive from Him, not to prove yourself.
Learning to accept help from the Father requires humility — not the kind that diminishes you, but the honesty that acknowledges your need. Learning to receive is not a sign of weakness.
It is trust.
