Childlikeness grows in the soil of God’s grace.
If childlikeness is a flower, then performance is the frost that kills it. But grace is the sunlight that causes it to bloom again.
Grace is not permission to live carelessly; it is permission to live freely. Grace does not lower the standard; it lifts the burden. Grace does not make you passive; it makes you alive. Grace does not make you less devoted; it makes you more trusting.
Grace does not call you to be impressive; it calls you to be embraced. And when you are embraced, childlikeness returns.
The Father is not asking you to earn His love. He is asking you to receive it. And in receiving, the soul finally rests… and becomes a child again.
