Jesus Lived From the Father’s Embrace
When you examine Jesus' life closely, you'll see that everything He did stemmed from a close relationship with His Father. The KJV translation of John 1:18 describes Jesus’ intimate connection with His Abba, saying… No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Before Jesus healed anyone, taught the crowds, walked on water, faced the cross, or rose again, He heard these words: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” — Matthew 3:17
That was the foundation of His ministry. His miracles stemmed from identity. His compassion derived from connection. His obedience came from a relationship. Jesus didn’t live to earn the Father’s love—He lived to express it.
We have the same calling.
We don’t attempt to imitate Jesus in our own strength. We allow the same Spirit that filled Him to teach us how to live from that same embrace.
