The Last Word Belongs to Love
At the end of all things— after every tear is wiped away, after every wound is healed, after every injustice is set right, after God has seen every heart, after every enemy of love has been removed— the final, unchanging, eternal word will be the same as the first:
Love.
Love began the story. Love carries the story. Love will finish the story. Not our love for God, but God’s love for us. A love revealed by the Father, embodied by the Son, and poured out by the Spirit.
A love that never fails. A love that never ends. A love that never gives up. A love that will have the last word.
