Why the Kingdom Feels Light to Children
The weight we feel as adults is often not just responsibility itself, but also fear. Children can handle responsibility when they feel safe, loved, and supported. However, when fear replaces the sense of security, responsibility becomes overwhelming.
Joy flourishes where love is known.
Joy fades where fear is present.
Children live freely because:
– They aren’t worried about tomorrow. – They aren’t preoccupied with status. – They aren’t measuring themselves. – They aren’t hiding emotional pain. – They aren’t haunted by worst-case scenarios. – They aren’t trying to impress others.
They live in the moment because they trust the One who holds them close. This is childlike innocence at its purest.
And this is the freedom the Father longs to restore in us.
