The Link Between Wonder and Trust
Children feel wonder because they believe the world is safe enough to explore. Adults lose their sense of wonder because they believe the world is dangerous, unpredictable, or disappointing.
But trust reopens the heart.
When you believe you have a Father who takes joy in you, who guides your steps, who works everything together for your good, who is patient with your process, gentle with your weaknesses, merciful with your failures, and present in your pain—your heart begins to relax. And relaxed hearts rediscover wonder.
You begin to see God in sunsets again. You begin to hear Him in laughter again. You begin to notice His faithfulness in daily provision. You begin to feel awe when you pray, not out of duty but out of awareness. You begin to read Scripture not as a textbook but as a love story.
Where trust grows, wonder follows.
