Why the Spirit Moves Slowly
Throughout the Christian tradition, from the early church fathers to modern teachers, believers have recognized the same truth: spiritual maturity takes time. This is because the Spirit does not force transformation—He transforms us through love.
Love is patient. Love is relational. Love is attentive. Love is personal. Love is gentle.
If the Spirit changed us instantly, we might celebrate the transformation, but we would miss the relationship. The Father wants you, not just your improved behavior. He wants your heart, your trust, your vulnerability, your journey.
So the Spirit takes His time.
