The Father Did Not Wait for Us to Reach for Life
Paul writes: “When we were dead… God made us alive with Christ.” — Ephesians 2:5
Notice the order: We were dead. God acted. We were unresponsive. God reached for us. We were incapable. God intervened.
Salvation is not humanity climbing up to God. It is God coming down to us — entering our death, entering our separation, entering our brokenness, entering our humanity, and giving us His life.
This is why every Christian tradition, despite differences, agrees on one crucial point: We cannot save ourselves. We can respond, yes. But we cannot generate life.
Life comes from the Father through the Son.
