We all long for a Father’s embrace
Every Christian tradition carries its own treasures—ways of seeing God, language for grace, practices that form us, and stories that remind us of who we are. Yet beneath all these beautiful differences lies a truth we share:
We are God’s children, created for a relationship with the One Jesus called “Father.”
But for many of us, that word—Father—is complicated. Some grew up knowing God primarily as holy, majestic, and transcendent. Others knew Him as near, personal, and intimate.
Some were taught of His sovereignty, others of His compassion, still others of His presence through the sacraments or His power through the Spirit.
All of these streams hold truth.
All reveal facets of the same Father.
None of us sees the whole picture alone.
And yet, many believers still live with a quiet ache underneath their theology—a longing for home, for belonging, for assurance that we are truly wanted...
