Beholding, Not Striving, Transforms Us
Paul provides one of the most beautiful descriptions of spiritual growth in 2 Corinthians 3:18: “We all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory…”
Notice what transforms us: not trying harder, not willpower, not performance, not religious pressure… but beholding. Seeing who Jesus is. Resting in the Father’s love and allowing the Spirit to shape us.
When we behold love, we become loving.
When we behold the Father’s heart, our hearts begin to change. When we behold Christ in us, we grow into who we already are.
