To know the Father is to become childlike.
Matthew 11:25-27
25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. NIV
There is a reason Jesus spoke about childlikeness and the Father together.
Whenever Jesus wanted people to understand who God really is, He didn’t point them to a doctrine, a system, or a theological structure—He directed them to a Father. And whenever He aimed to show what the Father’s heart is like, He pointed them to children.
This is not an accident. It is the deepest truth of the kingdom. The Father’s heart and the childlike heart belong together. You cannot understand one without the other.
Childlikeness flourishes in the presence of a loving Father. And the Father is best seen through the lens of childlikeness.
