We Grow Because We Are Loved, Not to Be Loved
This might be one of the most important truths in the entire spiritual journey: We do not grow into love; we grow from love. The Father’s affection is not the reward for progress.
It is the environment where progress becomes possible. We do not mature to gain acceptance. We mature because we are accepted. We do not change so that God will come closer. We change because He has already drawn near.
Grace is not the finish line; it is the starting point.
