The Kingdom is Designed for the Low and Light of Heart
Jesus constantly challenged our expectations: – the first will be last – the greatest will serve – the humble will be exalted – the poor in spirit will inherit the kingdom – the meek will inherit the earth – the merciful will receive mercy – the pure in heart will see God.
These are not just poetic ideals; they are spiritual realities. The kingdom is built on smallness—not immaturity, but a willing embrace of insignificance.
A willingness to: – trust – depend – rest – receive – follow – surrender – love without fear – hope without cynicism – be held.
This is not natural for adult hearts that have learned self-protection, self-sufficiency, and self-importance. But it is natural for children.
This means that childlikeness is not moral instruction— it is the native language of the kingdom.
