The Gospel is Astonishingly Simple
The modern church often overcomplicates what Jesus made simple. We add layers of systems, doctrines, expectations, structures, and steps. We create ladders for people to climb, formulas to memorize, benchmarks to hit, and expectations to live up to.
But Jesus expressed the gospel in simple terms: “Come to Me.” “Abide in Me.” “Receive the kingdom like a child.” “My yoke is easy.” The gospel is fundamentally relational, not institutional. It’s family, not transactional. It’s straightforward, not complicated.
It’s the message that a Father has found His children and wants them home.
Simplicity is not the enemy of depth; it’s the foundation of it. Every deep truth in the kingdom is grounded in something children can grasp.
