Co-Heirs With Christ — Sharing Both Joy and Surrender
Paul adds something honest and essential: “If indeed we share in His sufferings so that we may also share in His glory.” Heirship doesn’t protect us from life’s challenges. Jesus Himself experienced suffering, surrender, and trust.
Being a co-heir means sharing not only in His glory but in His journey. So this means: We do not suffer alone. We do not walk through pain without the Father. We do not carry burdens without grace.
We do not face trials without hope. We do not endure darkness without light ahead. The inheritance is not canceled by suffering; it is revealed in suffering, just as it was in Jesus.
