Receiving the Kingdom Like a Child
Jesus said in Luke 18:17…“Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Notice His words carefully: He did not say “achieve,” “conquer,” “deserve,” or “earn.” He said receive.
The entire kingdom is built on receiving: grace, mercy, forgiveness, peace, sonship, belonging, identity, comfort, wisdom, joy, the Spirit, and the Father’s love. Everything in the kingdom is received, not earned.
Childlikeness is about learning to hold out your hands again.
Receiving is not childish — it is the deepest expression of being loved. And the Father is teaching you again how to receive: without apologizing, without minimizing, without qualifying, without earning, and without fear.
Because the Father’s dream is not to have high-performing servants. It is to have beloved children who trust Him enough to be blessed.
You do not honor the Father by refusing His gifts. You honor Him by receiving them. This is the doorway to joy. This is the doorway to rest. This is the doorway to healing. This is the doorway to intimacy. This is the doorway to childlikeness.
Receiving is how the kingdom enters your heart— and how your heart enters the kingdom.
