Your future is brighter than your fears.
Children are remarkable for their capacity for hope. They dream easily. They imagine boldly. They expect good things without calculating the odds. They wake up expecting that today might hold something wonderful. Their hearts lean forward, not backward.
Hope comes naturally to children because they haven't yet learned to expect disappointment. They haven't internalized the lie that the future is dangerous, fragile, or driven by fear. For them, hope isn't naive optimism— it's the instinctive attitude of a heart that trusts.
But as adults, hope becomes more complex.
We become cautious, guarded, and skeptical. We start to prepare ourselves emotionally for disappointment. We lower our expectations to avoid pain in the future. We brace for the worst so we won’t be caught off guard when it happens. And somewhere along the way, we stop hoping the way children do.
Genuine, Spirit-led hope—is one of the most radiant results of a childlike heart, renewing our ability to view the future not with fear, but through the Father’s goodness.
