Trust is the Core of Childlikeness
If you observe a child from a loving home, you’ll notice that trust comes naturally. They trust those who feed them, carry them, and comfort them. They don't negotiate their belonging. They don't question their worth. They don't have to earn affection—they absorb it.
In many ways, trust is the foundation that makes all other aspects of childlike qualities possible: Wonder comes from trust.– Joy comes from trust.– Openness comes from trust.– Vulnerability comes from trust.– Rest comes from trust.
If trust fails, childlike faith fails too. That's why many believers struggle: we learn to believe without learning to trust. Belief is often intellectual; trust is always relational. Belief says, “I agree with this truth.” Trust says, “I entrust myself to the One who holds me.”
